Doc Martin

Doc is a 5 year old, neutered male, who is also FIV+. The poor boy originally came to the shelter as a stray in May 2007 – almost 3 years ago! He was adopted twice but returned both times through no fault of his own! His first adoptive family had to move and couldn’t take him with them, and his second adoptive family got a cat without FIV, and didn’t want to infect him. If they had done more research they would have know that FIV is not easily transmitted and the risk of a peaceful gentle guy like me inflicting a deep bite wound is minimal. Amazingly, this hasn't had an effect on his great personality. He gets along great with the other FIV cats, and is always begging for attention. He absolutely loves being held, and would be more than happy to jump into a warm lap. Doc is desperately seeking a real, FOREVER family that will spoil him and give him all the love he has been waiting for. Please click here to learn the real facts about FIV.
Update: The THS is looking for a foster-to-adopt home for Doc while he undergoes dental surgery.
Doc has found a home with his buddy McKellan!!!!

Doc is an amazing kitty. He's beautiful and friendly. I can't imagine why anyone would give up such a sweet boy. I hope he gets scooped up this week.
